So much this. Kitty litter will save your butt. If you have to shovel, do it early and repeatedly - don’t wait for the storm to stop if you can help it. Then, a good stiff broom can do most of the work for you and you don’t need to worry about finding a shovel.
Hey southerners, put a bunch of containers of kitty litter in your car right now. Put it under your front wheels if you get stuck and it will often give you enough traction to get out.

Oh f*ck no. I won’t even do this with my car insurance info, I print that thing out, tape it up and stick it in my purse. If it means *physically handing* my unlocked phone to another person??? For verification? Absolutely the f*ck not. I even turned off fingerprint unlock, I don’t trust anyone.
A lot of people are going to spend this decade trying to convince you to put your ID on the device you carry in your pocket and they're all wrong and you should tell them so loudly.

While I didn’t go to the gym today, I did remember to charge the portable jumper battery. Which is good cause it’s gonna be -23 on Thursday and Friday night with -10 as the high of the day on Friday. Filled up the car and will have to hope for the best.

We’re apparently moving to a four 10h shift work week soon. I am not opposed, just have never done this before.

I like this ratio for apple sauce I found in a recipe, it’s easy to scale up for the number of apples you have.
-4 apples
-1/4c sugar
-3/4 cup liquid (I use half water and half apple cider or Simply apply juice)
-Liberal amount of lemon juice to taste for flavor and to prevent browning.

Made apple sauce, cooked some smoked sausage for meal prep, made wings for lunch, cleaned kitchen. Now just waiting for apple sauce to cool so I can make any necessary adjustments to flavor before into the freezer it will go. Best way to use up apples! 🍎

Although I’m not a big city person, I deliberately chose a college in one because it’s good to experience a place with more diversity and ways of living. Never experiencing that really does affect your ability to viscerally understand that your way of living isn’t the only good one.
I realise I'm just a freak, but living in a multicultural city is the best thing of all time, it's just the best possible human experience and i can not understand why anyone on earth would be like "weve got to destroy this"

Oh Hacienda, I will miss you forever. An absolute dive of a Mexican restaurant that had great enchiladas and was so welcoming. It was grungy and the seats were old church pews. It had a kitchen fire and then some flooding close together and they just couldn’t take the hits and it closed.

Successful test run with the combo of fleece lined leggings and my new low-profile snow pants. Was very comfortable and I definitely would have had a miserable time without them. Will be perfect for the morning trek back out to the car tomorrow too.
