I'm not joking when i say race science dipshits think people are pokemon, but it's rather less funny that a eugenicist has been an assignment editor for much of the mainstream press for the past six years

Noodling around the new Epstein releases; as before it’s interesting to see the concentric rings of academics (esp. Physicists, Philosophers, and Cog Sci types), from direct ongoing connection to JE, to grubbing for money/clout, to chattering-class brokerage via eg the Brockman/Matson hype channel.

It makes you sound crazy to say this out loud, but it's becoming increasingly clear that the United States government has been effectively toppled by a group of overt pedophiles

Elon Musk last year: "Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED"

Musk to Epstein emails:
• “What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?”
• "I really want to hit the party scene"
• "Is there a good time to visit?

“Earlier this month, 404 Media reported that Palantir is working on a tool for ICE that ‘populates a map w/ potential deportation targets, brings up a dossier on each person, & provides a ‘confidence score’ on the person’s current address.” The tool reportedly obtains many…addresses from [HHS]”
Who takes Palantir's money? A new tracker finds out.
ICE relies on the firm for deportation tech—and its PAC pays it forward to Congress.

this is a straightforward impeachable offense for trump, vance, rubio and every other person down the line who enabled it and the framers would have thought impeachment for it did not go nearly far enough
Marco Rubio: "The oil proceeds are being deposited into an account that ultimately will become a US Treasury blocked account here in the US. We will say 'this is what this money can be spent on.' They will submit to us a budget request -- 'we want to use the money on these things.'"

We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

I don't know, Heritage Foundation-tied publication, maybe white liberal women are mad because a federal immigration official shot and killed one of them. And then called her a "bitch"? You know, on camera? www.dailysignal.com/2026/01/27/w...

Legitimately a feat of carefully calculated writing to issue a Holocaust Remembrance Day statement of this length without mentioning either (1) the people who perpetrated the Holocaust or (2) the people against whom they perpetrated it

Last week in Minnesota, I watched ordinary people risk their lives to protect their neighbors. In the process, they not only won a significant—though not final—victory against authoritarianism, they proved virtually every MAGA social theory wrong. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

This is a terrific piece of rhetorical construction that also happens to be a very good point. A lot of us have been heartened by the courage and integrity so many Minnesotans have shown over this past week, in the face of intimidation and spiteful violence.

The US Holocaust Museum being more outraged by Tim Walz saying that, like Anne Frank, children today are in hiding from armed agents of the state, than they are about the fact that children are in hiding from armed agents of the state, is why Holocaust remembrance culture is in crisis.

This is very insightful.

Unaccountability is a key aspect of an authoritarian regime, part of its essence. The leader must be stronger than the law, the leader can have no constraint to his power, nothing beyond or above his will.
The Derek Chauvin / Jason Van Dyke off-ramp isn’t available; he’s going to throw one surrogate and one justification after another at the wall and none of it will work. But he can’t back down. Introduce accountability into terror and terror diminishes itself.
