I've been doing video game VO since 2003. In my 20+ years, only ONE game has ever paid "royalties/residuals/bonus payments."
That game?
Date Everything.
And that's ONLY because it's a game produced by professional voice actors who purposefully created a special contract for the game w/ SAG-AFTRA.

Ask literally any voice actor if they get royalties from the video games they worked on.
They will tell you no. They might even laugh.
Now imagine any developer actively trying to use AI VO to save money wanting to offer something like that.

Also, re: "they get royalties", how much money is that? Does it make up for the lack of continued work?
Paying next to nothing is still "getting paid royalties" but is functionally nothing.

Siempre se habla de que la IA nos facilitará crear las películas que queremos ver, los juegos a los que queremos jugar y los libros que queremos leer pero... No tengo mucho interés en consumir nada que yo mismo pueda producir. No le veo el sentido.

Imagina un futuro en el que puedas describirle a tu consola el juego que quieres jugar y te lo haga para ti, en un par de minutos. Sin intervención humana, en exclusiva para que lo juegues tú y nadie más, simplemente a cambio de unos pocos litros de agua. Qué mierda de futuro eh

CAN CONFIRM. Riot's mods are immediately nuking any mention of mastercard, and giving lengthy chat timeouts for otherwise innocuous comments.
unsure how effective comments will be w/o absolutely massive numbers, but its EXTREMELY telling that mastercard feels they have to resort to this.
