Capitalism just ends up being socialism for the rich, while opening the doors to fascism. I dont believe there's any way to effectively renegotiate or reform capitalism to prevent either.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

The US really can be a shithole most of the time. We're mostly a bunch of jackasses held together by a 250 year old document that seems to have lost most of its efficacy.
