I briefly fell asleep and dreamt about being a YouTube influencer. I was showing my viewers how to prepare a protein shake, and i remember very confidently adding a banana and protein powder and milk to the blender and then throwing in an entire salmon fillet.

Disappointing to see more bogus generalizations denigrating "The Left" & praising "The Right" with a fiction left critiques come from ignorance / denial as means to evade the material analysis of class malice & labor theft & dangerous environmental & social impacts the rich prefer go unchecked.
I think this is directionally correct and honestly I'm less concerned about what it means for the left's take on AI than I am for the left's ability to metabolize new information and changing circumstances generally www.transformernews.ai/p/the-left-i...
The left is missing out on AI
As a movement, it has largely refused to engage seriously with AI, ceding debate about a threat and opportunity to the right

Journalism is a public service and a creative discipline built upon connection between human beings.

It is not a manufactured widget. By treating it as such, the Cleveland Plain Dealer devalues its own product.

Fringe had coded images at ad breaks giving "clues" to upcoming plot twists but still didn't play the mystery box to the degree failed shows did. The larger narrative had clear setup & payoffs & some plan & maybe tried to manage viewer expectations by emphasizing the shaggy dog elements at points.
Forgot a lot of the Fringe series & maybe didn't see it all before - so one of the twists in Season 3 is like new & as amusing as intended. Fringe is far from perfect, but from Lost the makers learned the limits of Network TV & plan enough so the inevitable flaws & plot holes were less annoying.

Have no position The Simpsons zombie longevity as haven't watched in so long, but puzzled that the 800th has a title that doesn't reference that at all, let alone something clever like Neverending Snore-y (Homer has apenia leading to c-pap gags) or Night of the Living Simpsons or and so on.

We must oppose delivery bots by every means necessary now (from regulation / legislation to sabotage) because the goal is to privatize public sidewalks, using civil & legal penalties to give priority to these things, not only letting them hit us with impunity but charging us for slowing them down.
We all gathered around to bully a delivery robot on the sidewalk

This is incoherent logic for a philosopher to offer about an avoidable future event.

For me, infrequent but regular shit takes & thoughtless moments are invalidating for a writer whose attention economy career is premised on thoughtful reflection, so gave up on Contrapoints.

Also, going to suggest that it should be flat out illegal for the City Treasurer to promote any investment schemes to the public, regardless of how much it fits all the stereotypes about our city.
This decision is even worse imo. This was very obviously an absolutely terrible investment in the new casino—I’d go as far as characterizing it as predatory—and Conyears-Ervin was out pushing it, primarily to the Black community, as a way to create “generational wealth.”

Seems kind of bad that Chicago's equivalent of Dolton's former Mayor Henyard is in charge of our treasury.

It's *before,* the poll came out, didn't review the methodology & actual answers behind their interpretation of what it says.
