Yeah... been waiting for people to take notice ever since I first heard about Palantir. If this doesn't chill you to the bone, then you don't really get what's happening.

I remember in the early 90s, keeping a close eye on ads from the mail order house "Computability" in Amiga Magazine, waiting for the price of a 1 Gigabyte drive to drop below $1000. 😂

Not that many years later, I was using 1G drives as paperweights and doorstops. 🤣
There was a time when I had a business that required a lot of digital storage. We paid $20,000 (around $40k in today’s dollars) for a 5-foot-high stack of interconnected drives.

They had 54 gigs of storage! Less than half of the iPhone I got for free when I signed a 2-yr contract.

I’m only 55.

It's funny how language and communication work. For example, I've noticed that when I'm having an exchange with someone on social media, if they refer to vaccination as "the jab" it is invariably paired with all kinds of absolutely irreparable idiocy.

This Presidency has convinced me that we need to completely remove the power of Presidential pardon, because clearly there is no limit to its potential for abuse.

I don't know what the artist had in mind, but to me, this is a post about politics.

Wow, just had the first full-on MAGA propaganda account show up in my feed that I've seen in weeks, maybe months.

Hope that's not the beginning of a trend.

Cold blooded murder.

That Dr Seuss' WWII-era anti-Nazi cartoon should become relevant again really says terrible things about our society.

Even if Trump's fantasy $2000 payout to citizens did materialize, that would cover about a month of people's heightened insurance premiums under the BBB.

I agree, and I also think Pattinson is the best filmic Batman we've had. Extraordinary character performance. I wish they'd gotten him a film that was better (it was ok, but not great). Hoping they keep him around for a while, and give him some more colorful villains and situations to work with.
Robert Pattinson's Batman is genuinely one of my favorite autistic characters I've seen in modern fiction.
He's not the autism representation we deserve, but he's the autism representation we need.
Or whatever the line is.
(It's also just the best take on The Batman we've gotten in cinema tbh)

No. The Thing is a movie about a bunch of people who all distrust and hate each other trapped in one building as the tension between them slowly builds until it reaches a breaking point. It's a Thanksgiving movie.

At this point I assume the reason that we haven't seen the full Epstein files is because they're not done scrubbing them yet.

I think only the most oblivious dunderheads - like, say for example, every conservative that I know - was unaware of, or in denial of this.

Of course, they're in denial of basically everything that constitutes objective reality. 🤷‍♂️
