I don't mean to start a controversy, but after some deep reflection on a slice of deep dish pizza I have come to the irrefutable conclusion that, in fact, pizza is more cake than pie. "Pizza Pie" is a misnomer. Pies have filling, cakes have toppings... like pizza.
