agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

Breaking News: Late last night Conde Nast illegally fired 4 union organizers who asked company execs to explain the downsizing of Teen Vogue and continued layoffs. We’ve filed a grievance.

Right after Rolling Stone cut their politics coverage. Both have been doing important politics reporting and hit an audience that isn't necessarily there for the politics. Teen Vogue had more breakthrough stories the past ten years than prestigious politics magazines
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

Last night, the National Guard chased children who were out enjoying Halloween in Navy Yard.

There is no valid reason for armed soldiers to terrorize children like this. End Trump’s occupation of DC. National Guard out NOW.

“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.

Earlier today in Gresham, Oregon (a suburb just outside of Portland), a US citizen was detained by ICE after taking photos of their unmarked vehicles. US Gestapo smashed the persons car windows before detaining them. They have since been released.

Of all the housing charts not made by MMI, this one is my favourite. It shows how, despite rhetoric, housing shortages aren't a global phenomenon, but they do seem to be an Anglo-American one.

Can't wait to see what he promised to do for Trump. Single handedly stop an asteroid from hitting earth? Do a mind wipe of everyone in the world so we forget about Epstein? He knows where the ring of power is and will take Trump to it?

The glorious bounties capitalism has promised! Top food exporter in the world and we've managed to strangle the industry by refusing to treat anyone working in it with dignity, even allowing the govt to openly terrorize the people doing the actual work. Not just a trump phenomenon either.
"Industry experts say that if farmers and farmworkers keep leaving the industry at the current rate, this country could lose the ability to feed itself."
Seems problematic.

2. Rolling Stone is owned by a large media conglomerate, which is ending remote work across its brands.

My home is Portland, Oregon, ~1,000 miles from the nearest office, so this marks the end of the line for me at RS.
