Chocolate Tales, a nut free chocolate shop in Hamilton (Canada), has an advent calendar that's all their fancy truffles but it's $80 plus taxes and shipping. And I'm still 👀 at it cuz it's a chocolate advent calendar that doesn't say "may contain peanuts/tree nuts" on it and that's pretty rare here.

No, using AI generated stuff as a "placeholder" on your crowdfunding campaign is not OK either.
If the visuals are THAT important to getting your project funded, then you need to pay a person up front for those key visuals and deliver a consistent end product to your backers.

Im still on this. The books are both extremely horny and extremely sexless which is a weird and uncomfortable place to be. I think authors should be more honest about what they’re doing instead of being like “it’s not weird and kinky, it’s just how my fantasy world is.”
I finished listening to the second Wheel of Time book. My takeaway is damn Robert Jordan was a freak (derogatory).

I was debating going to the mall to buy a winter coat cuz that’s faster than cleaning my whole place to draft and make one. But the shop that had the coats I liked is like $300-400 and I don’t have that so I guess I’m organizing the kitchen and sewing things today.

I also got to spend the afternoon playing Civ 6 with my bf. He wanted us to be vampires together. I found the vampire secret society. He did not. He was busy with a war that lasted 3 ages, went nowhere, and cost him a fortune when he didn’t start it (Alexander the great sucks).

I took down the bird net yesterday cuz it had a bunch of holes in it and needed replacing and damn is the view out my windows so much nicer without it. Like I can’t keep it like this cuz the pigeons will return and I cannot stand them. But it’s such a nice view.

If anyone knows how to make YouTube videos not randomly crank up the screen brightness to max and give me a massive headache, pls lmk. Google says turning off auto-brightness does it but that has literally never been on on my phone so that ain’t it.

The biggest thing i've learned as an artist who sells prints and merch is don't make what people ask for. They won't buy it. Make what you, the artist, want to see printed on the support of ur choice.
I can't explain why but THAT'S what will sell. People who buy the most are the silent ones. 🫶

Remember, artists: when people say, “I’d buy a print of this,” they don’t mean it. That sentence itself is just a weird compliment that rarely converts to an actual print sale. It’s like if someone ate a very good hot dog and then said, “I could eat 10,000 of these right now.”
