There was a vegetarian restaurant in the East Village in the late 80s that had the most delicious homemade patty thing with an equally delicious sauce. Yum. You'd get it with brown rice. I'll never remember the name of that place. 😢 Maybe someone out there does.

The people pushing the lab leak theory want a major crackdown on viral research, precisely the kind of work that will prevent the next global pandemic. The more extreme lab-leakers want to jail scientists and shut down public health institutions entirely.
Maybe it’s just because I have not dived into it to any meaningful degree, but I don’t understand the stakes of the lab-leak theory. What does it do for people who propound it? What would it challenge or undermine if it were proved true?
I get that this sounds plausible to lots of people but it is not congruent with the evidence!

So look at that. DOGE has cost the US Treasury fucking half a trillion dollars. HALF A TRILLION DOLLARS. This is your cost savings.
