I've had a few days off because I worked extra last week, and I have walked the dog every day and it feels like a huge success and sort of a return to myself. My bedroom is a mess and I haven't done laundry or unpacked luggage from travel last week, but the quality rest has been top notch.

Modernizing departments and maximizing efficiencies is extremely bull-shitty and it is everywhere in the breakdown of what departments will be reduced. This is a brutal budget.

Canadian Periodical Funding keeps many lit journals in business and it USED to be dependent on a minimum number of subscribers. It looks like that method is scrapped. I hope that means wider access to small publications, but I fear it will put several small journals in trouble.

A truly spectacular crit fail by a big NPC in my DnD game tonight. This guy had every advantage including the element of surprise and really good gear and then nat 1 on the die and a 1 on the damage roll, not that it would have landed. He went invisible in shame.
