4 decades ago the Federalist Society was created to destroy the fabric of the most successful democratic nation in history. It was a reaction to civil rights and the regulatory system that had built the middle class. They wanted unrequited wealth. They won. Now everybody’s miserable, even them. Yay
A strong example of what we have lost with the almost complete annihilation of local and regional newspapers in the last quarter century. The nationalized sorting between left and right is actually a divide between those with cohesive communities and the others left to do their own research.

He knows this is a lie but the point is that his GOP fundamentally doesn't believe urban Democrats, and non-Republicans generally but that's the main breakdown, are legitimately and equally Americans who should have a say in how they are governed.

As an experiment take this defamatory lie and treat it as reasonable. We were attacked by terrorists. We said Afghanistan needed to be cleaned up. All NATO nations joined despite not being attacked. Where they were positioned or their numbers are frankly irrelevant. They helped. They didn’t need to.

It is well worth looking at the many thousands of ordinary Minnesotans who risk physical harm and detention and seeing the best of us. But then it's also necessary to look at the also many thousands of ICE and DHS militia men and see how many depraved and those without worth we live amongst.
There’s no point during the detention of a five-year-old that any person with a functioning moral center would not step back to reassess the situation and their place in it. That nobody involved did proves they lack the common interiority required to successfully coexist in ordered society.
