Love that AI, a thing we hate and don’t want, steals everything, ruins everything, shittifies everything. Drinks our water, plagiarizes our art, pisses all over our information fidelity, drives kids to suicide, serves the right-wing, and fucks up our devices and services. Good job, techbros!

Today I am crocheting and watching the Olympics. This is the “Mischievous Magpie Shawl” by Keep Calm and Crochet On UK. The yarn is “Blue Whistling Thrush Feather” and “Gardenia” by Robin’s Promise Yarn Co. and “Black Pearl” by Dream in Color.

“As some universities and journals adopt AI-text detectors, they risk creating a feedback loop that constrains how authors express themselves. I have seen colleagues intentionally simplify their grammar or break down complex rhetorical structures to avoid arousing algorithmic suspicion.”
Why artificial intelligence detectors could penalize academic writing - Nature Human Behaviour

I had my 2 week checkup on my broken foot. He said it was doing great but I just don’t understand why I haven’t regrown that bone yet? I mean I was really great at growing babies. I should be exceptional at regrowing this piddly bone after growing two whole humans.

I made slaw, bbq brisket, and tater tots. We added some Monterey Jack cheese and made tot natchos.

I’m not gonna lie if I had any more tater tots cooked I’d go back for seconds.

I learned the term “house burping” today and I can’t stop laughing because of course we Americans take a great practice and call it something ridiculous.
