This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

Congratulations to @abigailspanberger.com on her primary victory.

We endorsed her early in the campaign because she has been at the tip of the spear battling corruption and protecting the interests of regular people in our democracy.

We look forward to helping her win the general election.

It is actually nuts that even when the NYC political establishment was presented with a broad field of talented candidates w/ many ideas, in a time of generational change & anti-corruption, they STILL chose to line up behind scandal-ridden Andrew Cuomo.

It’s cowardice.

The most effective protests in the ‘60s and ‘70s were sit-ins. To disperse a sit-in, the troops have to be the aggressors because they have to get very physical to pull you up from a sitting position. It is really hard to say the protestors are the aggressors when all you are doing is sitting down.

An LAPD officer in a helicopter announced to a crowd of protestors “I have all of you on camera. I’m going to come to your house.” This is the very definition of using surveillance and the threat of reprisals to chill constitutionally-protected free speech.
An LAPD helicopter claimed to have ID'ed protesters from above and threatened to "come to your house"
The practice, an expert warns, could lead to "reprisals and retribution by the police for your politics.”

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

If there’s a lesson to be gleaned from New York City's primary season, it is that the dream of a kinder, more humane city is strong among the city’s elected officials. And by not ranking Cuomo, residents have a chance to reclaim New York.

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd.
It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

If you want to understand why this country is in the state it’s in, and why we have no real functioning opposition party, consider this:

Rubio has been the most dangerous and dictatorial member of the Trump cabinet.

And yet every single Senate Democrat voted Yes to confirm him.

I never bought Booker as a POTUS nominee.

Has the wrong energy. Extremely performative. All that grandstanding and then does votes like this.

Where was the filibustering when a critical vote was in the balance?

I, for one, am sick of Dem Senators telling us there is nothing they can do to
Just a few weeks ago people were pitching Cory Booker as a front runner for the 2028 Dem presidential nomination.

Tonight he was the only Senate Dem to vote to confirm Jared Kushner’s convict dad as ambassador to France.

Sheesh.
