I used to love the Dresden Files, and it’s still a guilty pleasure of mine, but the further it gets along in the series, the more its flaws become apparent. The sexism, weird sorta racist bits, etc. I’ve always wanted to make a similar story that does *not* fall to those problems, and is queer.

it’s kind of funny that for years I’ve kept hoping the Utah DSA would run someone but they never do (because as far as I can tell the Utah DSA don’t do anything?), but also I’m pretty satisfied with the leftmost state legislators in Utah, Grant Miller and Nate Blouin.

It’s funny that the further away we get from Gygax’s time the worst he seems in almost every aspect, rather than being idolized like he used to be.
Thinking about how bows actually take way more upper body strength to wield than swords and yet every fantasy thing has archers be slim and effeminate because Gygax thought shooting bows was less manly
