Network costs are rising as the grid expands, but analysis shows gas remains the single biggest driver of high bills, not green policies, as some politicians on the right claim.

Expensive gas still biggest driver of high UK electricity bills
High gas prices, not green policies, remain the main reason UK households are paying more for electricity

An excellent week in Hamburg. I've learned about a proud city funded through trade, with honesty about that wealth; a Nazi labour camp not far from the city, now a memorial park. I am reminded that those in charge need to remember these lessons when taking decisions, while I can bear witness.

I've just used Good Law Project's tool to email MPs on the Council of Europe and let them know they don’t have to bend down to Sex Matter’s transphobic threats.

Stop Sex Matters infiltrating the Council of Europe
In just one week, the Council of Europe will be voting to ban conversion therapy. This would be an incredibly important step to stop the rollback in the rights of LGBTQI+ people. But Sex Matters is in...

Do read the whole thread - this is exactly what I've been wanting to describe in respect of my role as a public servant and as a colleague and member of our staff LGBTQ+ network.
1/ You wouldn’t know it from the coverage, but two recent employment tribunal rulings have vindicated those of us who have said from the start that the Supreme Court judgment did not require the automatic exclusion of trans people from single-sex toilets and changing rooms. 🧵

LOVED watching Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. Watching the chapters in order, bonus scenes (including what happens to The Pussy Wagon). Outstanding.

This has given me genuine hope. I joined the Green Party 2 years ago and the waves of positive support, clear policy positions based on social justice, have great momentum.
Hope is here.

Exactly the problem.
The view from Llantarnam: combatting the populist right
Alternately insulting and ignoring voters won’t tackle growing support for the populist right in Wales – quite the opposite. Other parties must roll their sleeves up
