"Pres. Donald Trump is using the law for partisan purposes, targeting his adversaries while sparing his friends and donors from investigation, prosecution, and possible punishment. This is contrary to everything that I have stood for in my more than 50 years in the Dept of Justice and on the bench."

"'...these voices are going away,' Roseann Canfora, Kent State journalism professor whose brother Alan Canfora was wounded in the shooting, said in an interview. 'John’s experience — and especially his voice — remind us about how precious our democracy is & the courage that it takes to defend it.'"
"John Cleary, who was shot in the chest by Ohio National Guard troops during an antiwar protest at Kent State University in 1970 [...] died on Oct. 25 at his home in Gibsonia, Pa., near Pittsburgh. He was 74.

His death was announced by Kent State."

"The proclamation announcing the pardons said they had been issued as a corrective measure to address 'a grave national injustice' that took place when the 2020 election went against Mr. Trump & Joseph R. Biden Jr. became the president."

The "grave national injustice" is the felon in the Oval.
Trump sees DEMS infighting over govt shutdown he doesn’t care about: uses media fog to pardon illegal acts by allies he DOES care about because they implicate him.

"Conflicting." A descriptor for all things Trump.

"It’s part of American lore that George Washington rebuffed proposals for a presidential palace. He believed a fledgling democracy shouldn’t emulate Versailles. America is not an imperial power like Britain. The White House is a representation in sandstone and brick of an Everyman’s American dream."
Trump has a long history of destroying valuable architecture and imposing his taste on existing landmarks.
