ANYWAY. I’m having a solo show of relatively recent works on paper at the Fresh Pot on Hawthorne that opens tomorrow night. Notably it includes a series of four drawings of the Beach Boys at their most furious, rendered on pink paper I spritzed with patchouli spray and left on a windowsill to fade.

I do want to thank this election for making me more aware of world-historical weirdo Curtis Sliwa. Can’t say I agree with him on the issues but I would like to study him in a lab.

Delighted to learn that John Joseph, formerly of NYHC band Cro-Mags, was one of the “I’m leaving New York if Mamdani wins” crowd. I know he saw the Covid death statistics under Cuomo and thought “let’s get those numbers UP” so I can’t imagine who he WOULD’VE voted for.

A lot of folks may think that just yelling at ICE agents is ineffective, but consider the cumulative psychological toll of being yelled at EVERY DAY when trying to do shit. Even the biggest asshole in the world who doesn't give a shit about other people will feel the pressure.
