all my favorite sports teams are bad
i've never felt more vindicated as I do today about a person with all of this drama about Ben Roethlisberger not being a good teammate.

The college football national championship hasn't reached this point and I hope it never does.
The thing I hate most about the Super Bowl is how obviously the crowd isn’t made up of actual fans but rather rich people wearing football jerseys.

Me, trying to keep track of all the PSU sports news: Wait, Gavin McKenna punched Noah Pauley at a bar in Green Bay?
February 5, 2026 at 3:02 PM
umm….
Gavin McKenna has been charged with felony aggravated assault.

A replica land grant!
Hey! This is Jordan Diehl and Dan Parks. They brought their own Land-Grant Trophy to the tailgate!

As they searched for information about how to make it as realistic as possible they said the read some of my stories about this wonderful trophy.

Tommy usually checks out by halftime anyway
Tuberville: "Unfortunately we've got the Woke Bowl, because we're getting more and more woke. We got Bad Bunny or Bad Rabbit at halftime. I'll be watching the TPUSA halftime show. It's just unfortunate we've gotten to this point."

Our new coach looks so healthy and so well adjusted

I can feel the hype
January 27, 2026 at 10:01 PM
remember like a month and a half ago when PSU didn’t even think this dude was good head coach material?
BREAKING: The Buffalo Bills are promoting offensive coordinator Joe Brady to be the franchise’s next head coach on a five-year deal, a source tells @diannarussini.bsky.social.

The past two seasons, Brady's offense has produced an NFL MVP in Josh Allen and a rushing champion in James Cook.

everyone, stop being cowards right now
Everyone hates the idea of neutral-site conference championship games. Until the fourth quarter of Patriots-Broncos, which was unplayable -- and unwatchable.
Should conference championships be played at neutral sites?
Patriots-Broncos snowstorm could dust off an old debate.

remember like a month ago when he was almost PSU's new football coach?
The Bills have requested to interview former Giants head coach Brian Daboll, per source.

Daboll, Buffalo’s offensive coordinator from 2018-21, is a native of Western New York and very familiar with Brandon Beane and the organization.

We can all see that Mendoza is going to lead the early 2040s MAGA relaunch as a Florida congressman, but part of me will root for IU solely b/c it’d be funny that their closest game of the season would be a miracle last-second TD catch to beat 3-5 Penn State playing with a backup QB and interim HC.
It's hard to avoid hyperbole with Indiana.
You know, bc they're THE LOSINGEST TEAM EVER and they're 15-0 and KICKING THE CRAP OUT OF EVERYONE.
So here's more hyperbole: Has anybody been better at coaching than Curt Cignetti?
Anywhere?
Ever?
My friends at @the-ringer.bsky.social let me ask & answer:
Is Curt Cignetti Delivering the Greatest Coaching Performance in Sports History?
How does Cignetti’s turnaround at Indiana compare to the all-time great coaching jobs in sports, from Bill Belichick with the Patriots to Claudio Ranieri with Leicester City? We created a system to fi...

Overall a great run by Mike Tomlin. Glad he was the Steelers' coach. Should've been over a year ago minimum, probably two or three. Now let's see a proper bottoming out and rebuild in God's image (by being bad enough to get a real QB)
January 13, 2026 at 7:58 PM
we are so back. Bring me a new coach and a new era.
as a person who grew up cheering for the Steelers and now living in Pittsburgh, I wanna cheer and root for them again. It’s been so hard the last 10ish years, though, because of coach incompetence, truly terrible human beings on the roster, and also a fanbase that low key is kinda intolerable

*taps sign* the only thing I will take away from this statement is the intolerable fan base. Many, many, many good Steeler & Yinzer fans exist. Everything else I stand by.

A truly bad season allows one to find other pursuits and activities outside of football. It forces you to look inward and consider your own worries, concerns, and shortcomings. That you guys have never had a season like that is probably why every single Steelers fan I know is braindead.
