The next film starts with Bond's POV in the nanobot factory. As he 'dies,' he explodes into a blinding flash of technicolor light and regenerates as a new actor.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”
Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:
“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Being unable to admit "oh, I must have made a mistake," is a dangerous form of mind-poison. It locks you into bad decisions for eternity.
Noah Smith is paid in the high six-figures to write a blog read by Americans who believe themselves to be intelligent. Yet, he is both unable to read a sign and also for some reason chose to have a 90 minute layover for a flight that takes 90 minutes.

The iPad Pro is the strangest product Apple sells. Originally it was the one that worked with the Apple Pencil, but that quickly spread to the rest of the iPads. Then it had the same processor as the MacBooks, but now so does the iPad Air.
The iPad Pro went on sale 10 years ago today. At the time, many saw it as just a bigger iPad.
A decade later, though, the iPad Pro has changed. Rather than try to make it into something other than a laptop, Apple made it… a laptop.

Media literacy was never so important. You need to understand what you're seeing, why it was made, and how it got to you.
I'm cited in this piece in the Toronto Star today about the spread of generative AI, the challenges it poses for historians & history education, and the need for digital literacy.

How fake AI history is threatening Remembrance Day — with endless YouTube videos glamorizing Nazis
A search for any historical topic is sure to be met with a torrent of fake AI-generated garbage — at real cost to our history.

Nothing illustrates the arseholery of the IOC and the British Press more than the use of the image of a not-Trans woman to illustrate a story about trans women being banned (because there are no current trans women competing at this level)

The thing to remember about art heists is that art museums are, as a rule, not high-security facilities.
They're spaces where we want the public to have fairly close and unobstructed access to artwork.
