It is a very Ohio thing to say "oh it's only 5 minutes away" when giving directions on how far away something is. Even a cyclist would say this, adjusted for speed. So... if you just stand there for five minutes, you'll get to your destination, obv

Less than a week after they were installed, many of the flex posts on the BU bridge have been destroyed by vehicles. Appreciate the thought but cyclists clearly need more protection at these intersections.

How are you cleaning your big ass bike? Bullitt is a beast in the shop stand, and abominable in the home stand. What is your plan for cleaning the grime?
One important thing about cycling every day is keeping up with maintenance. We get all kindsa weather in Ohio so we gotta do all kindsa cleaning and lubing. Prevention is next to godliness.

I ride in all weather and have great gear for it all, but the sunny, 50°ish day before our recent snowfall I just didn't have *it.* We walked everywhere. During / after snow? No prob on the bike whatever. Some days you can just not, and that's fine. Do what thou wilt, harm none

Walk/take transit/drive when it doesn’t.
Use the bike & weather gear you have.

Just got back from biking home and I have to say as someone who also drove someone's car in the snowfall for a little bit today, I felt safer and more in control on my bike then the car.
And I don't even have fat tires or studded tires. Just my regular road bike tires.
