can't get brake checked if you're not tailgating and you can't get tailgated if you aren't loafing in a passing lane (caveat, this only applies to free-flow traffic with passing lanes). everything would go a lot smoother if folks acted like particles in a flow regime instead of individuals with egos

I think before my mom died my dad had texted me happy birthday a couple times, called me a couple times (always to ask if I knew where mom was), and in the past year I have phone conversations about his life difficulties at least 3x/mo. I'm exhausted.

A party that couldn't endorse Mamdani. . . has room for Marjorie Taylor Greene

The party can burn in hell
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

My cousin once had a scale to measure how good or bad a thing was. It was Polar Express the Movie at the lowest end, and Polar Express the Book at the highest. I'm updating that scale with East Of Eden. More room since the upper and lower bounds are greater.

If you have to wait for more than 30 seconds for others to yield the right-of-way, do you really have the right-of-way?

Remember when Hilary propped up Donald in the field of Republican primary so she could run against him thinking it would be an easy victory in the general? Oooooooooooof

Really difficult to overstate the fury one should feel that the GOP and institutions like the New York Times went all in on transphobia as some mortal threat to women and girls while covering up something like this.
When you read these Epstein emails, you start to understand why so many prominent conservatives are obsessed with checking the genitals of children. It's a big thing for them!

pretty funny in retrospect that QAnon hinged on the idea that powerful elites at the highest levels of government were smart enough to talk in code when sending emails to each other about their despicable crimes
