Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I don’t think my preprint is “me.” I actually participated in this study, despite my distrust of AI, because I wanted to see what it could do. And I was not impressed in the least.
Folks getting in the weeds about licensing agreements but this research study engaged me in research, by creating a bespoke dataset about me, before I agreed to participate. They already made the dataset before I was invited to participated. That's not how informed consent works

There are many reasons that being a scientist is very difficult right now. But learning that a manuscript I fucking bled over (metaphorically and sometimes literally) would be reviewed by AI would take me over the edge.
A study shows that more than half of peer reviewers (53%) now use AI. The reviewers claim using AI mostly to draft reports (59%), summarize findings (29%), or flag potential misconduct (28%).

There are many reasons that being a scientist is very difficult right now. But learning that a manuscript I fucking bled over (metaphorically and sometimes literally) would be reviewed by AI would take me over the edge.
Humans eat all this protein to bulk up, and yet the things we eat for protein (cows) just eat grass. There’s a lesson here, probably.
