Oh yeah, NO diakon! Cilantro, carrots (these are so good - maybe marinated in vinegar and a bit of sugar?), a slice of cucumber, and some spicy pepper I have yet to identify! This one was pate and other sliced meats. So freaking good. Oh yeah, mayo.

I’m mad too, but the only reason we have the ACA in the first place is because of the Dems. We need people like us in the party moving them to the left. Can’t vote in a primary if you aren’t a Dem.

NY already said they are killing the low cost ACA plan that many of our students are on, because of lack of federal support. This was weeks ago, so it was before the shutdown I believe. Voters should be furious at the GOP. But we know who will get the blame.

I’m happy the Dems held out this long. It was smart. The most fight we’ve ever seen from them. I agree, it won them the election. And yes, people have every right to yell at their Senators - I’m in NY and have wanted Schumer out of power for years. I just feel our true anger should be focused at GOP

Again, the GOP WANTS the government to be shut down. Mitch was happy to do it. Trump is happy to do it now. We have zero leverage.

It’s the same thing I see over and over. People furious at the Dems for things the GOP actually does. They had no leverage. They got the election win they wanted. People will forget this in a year. Can you imagine all the awful shit that is going to happen before the 2026 election?

This is where I disagree. The GOP killed the ACA. They are in power. We have to stop blaming Dems for not being able to stop the GOP from doing awful shit.
