Man it’s cold out here. 43 degrees with 20 mph wind puts the wind chill near freezing. That’s rare in San Francisco. And the fog is blowing in from the N-NE. Weird to see radiation fog move around like this. #CAwx

San Francisco just upzoned the Sunset, the Richmond, North Point, and a bunch of the Marina. I truly never thought I'd see the day. Huge congratulations to the local activists at @sfyimby.bsky.social who worked so hard to make this happen.

#Montreal 's just leap-frogged other cities in North America by opening the REM.

Automated. Electric. Frequent (2.5 minute headways). Fast (Capable of 110 km/h). Cheap to build. (One tenth the price of other systems)

And really fun to ride...

This San Francisco legislation seems good to give nonprofit housing builders more flexibility and faster approvals on ground-floor and interim uses. The city would save money, housing would be built sooner, and projects would spend less time as underused space. #yimby www.msn.com/en-us/money/...

I am excited to see SFMTA look for new technology for bus lane and bus stop enforcement of illegal stopping/parking. We won't see any installations until Summer 2026 at earliest. #tole #able #transit

Big hearing right now for the #FamilyZoningPlan at #SanFrancisco Supervisors Land Use and Transportation Committee. They could

a) send to the full board
b) make amendments and hear again in this committee
c) make substantive amendments and send back to Planning Commission
Look alive, the Board of Supervisors Land Use and Transportation committee has been called to order. Room 250 is already full for the Family Zoning Plan

The law is still evolving on autonomous vehicles. Moving violations (red light running, illegal U-turns) cite the driver, but there's no one to cite for AVs. New California law will allow the state DMV to enforce starting next year. #autonomousVehicles apnews.com/article/waym...
