Back home finally & ready to crash. I saw the most incredible bird on the drive back through Oregon, a White-Tailed Kite!

I thought it was a leucistic hawk at first glance, but then browsed through Oregon's raptors & there it was. Stunning bird!

Wanted to finally do an interpretation of Cthulhu from H.P. Lovecraft's The Call of Cthulhu!
a mountainous thing, with long wing-like sheets of flesh drifting up and out of frame. its bulk is rotten, wrinkled, decomposing. its head appears to be a ball of feelers, but its so large its mostly off page. amongst strange pillars, a man is silhouetted in the foreground. he is very small.

Fritillaries sketch vs final.

1. Fritillaria amana (used to be F. hermonis subsp. amana)
A sketchbook page showing fritillary plant drawings. There's 2 particularly coloured drawings of F.amana which has large bell shaped flowers on thin stems with thin strap like leaves. A finished sketch is taped to the page. There's test blobs of colour dotted about the place. The finished detailed drawing of the previously described fritillaria, with red and green petals, a pale green stem and dark green leaves. It looks very tidy compared to the sketchbook.
