Let me tell you what I’ve seen of the Somali community in Maine.
My Somali neighbors are people with deep faith, families they cherish & determination to secure a better future for their children and grandchildren, much like every immigrant who came before them.

When I lived in Minnesota in … maybe the year between college and law school, so 1994-ish? … I looked up the studio in the Yellow Pages and called, and I said, “Do you give tours?” And they said yes. There were like five of us when I went. I stood on the bridge and had my picture taken.

Look, I know we're all sick of hearing "if this had happened with any other president ..." but it's absolutely true and absolutely can't be forgotten.

For some reason, this nation gives this idiotic spoiled brat a free pass from things that would destroy the administration of any other person.
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

My first thought was, yeah, duh, it’s deer hunting season, so of course we’re all terrified of going to our mailboxes.
Nobody should be terrified to go to their mailbox.

But thousands of Vermonters and millions of Americans are getting notices in the mail that the health care plans they had in 2025 will be twice as expensive in 2026.

I live in Maine, and I haven't met Graham yet, but we share a number of folks in common. I hear he's really the real deal, and I agree with this assessment. Folks are truly pumped about him. No one I know is pumped about Janet. She has been an ok governor, but that's it.
Not that anybody comes to me for Maine politics, but the fact that the Democrats successfully convinced a 77yo Governor to primary the 41yo progressive, is today's example of why the Democrats fucking stay failing.
