Regardless of the result tonight, this has been, from start to finish, a great @mlb.com postseason. As a neutral I'll be happy either way. If the @bluejays.com win, Canada wins and that will be great. If the #dodgers win they'll confirm their status as the best team of this era.

Graduate seminar did a deep dive on Thomas Paine’s Common Sense yesterday. At the line, “in America the law is king,” they (14 students from 6 countries) burst out laughing. I've been doing this for 35 years and this is the first time that was a laugh line.
