Any time I see people feel nostalgic about the Renaissance, it’s a big eye roll from me.
Either they are naive and know almost nothing about the early modern period or are a white supremacist (no middle ground).
so i've read this (h/t @annieabrams.bsky.social) and, although I'm also interested in @adapalmer.bsky.social weighing in, I do have some thoughts.

it sucks and the author should feel bad (he won't).

The joys of federal retirement. Signed up in July for Temporary Continuation of Coverage (TCC) to carry my Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) until next year, when I turn 65. Ticked all the boxes, approved. Yay!

I've been paying premiums since August.
