I miss real tickets but Bob really delivered last night. Still getting it done at 84. (The phone ban works and Glasgow crowds never disappoint.)

According to the girls it's raining cats and dogs outside (and Bella Dogliano wants to stay inside). The word of the day is #dreich.

It's me. I was the free event (yesterday). Post-shutdown, there was a small group of folk committed to history. Thanks to them for coming out and the National Park Service for hosting!

With my Edinburgh Leisure membership (£450 for the year) I can take a friend to a public course for £15. (£0 on the occasional "Free Friend Friday!") No political controversy, really nice people (actual local folks, not global golf bros), and the occasional friendly dog.

What's the German word for the joy one feels when a friend publishes a book?

We have a never-ending Ticket to Ride tournament going on with our neighbor. I'm handing the trophy over because she won tonight. Her mum and stepdad are coming from Germany to join the game in February.

Friday Night Lights, Scottish style. Some Lowland League football. Who says the romance is dead after 35 years?

Made it back. Thirty-six hours door-to-door (should have been about ten). Highlight of the trip, waiting the passport queue in Edinburgh and a little boy said, "Hi, ahm two. At ma next burfday ah'll be three." Speak your truth wee man.

The greatest living Texans are: @agordonreed.bsky.social and Willie Nelson. Last night we saw number 3 on the list, Lyle Lovett, at the Festival Theatre. He was brilliant, as always.
