He's wiping out your life savings, destroying the Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid upon which you were promised you could depend, ending the medical research that would protect and prolong your life and that of your families & gutting your liberties...and he doesn't care about any of it.

By nearly every metric, Bidenomics was a roaring success. It would be a mistake to ignore or forget the lessons that can be gleaned from the administration’s robust economic policy.

Bidenomics Was Wildly Successful
The president’s domestic record wasn’t just extraordinary. It might put Democrats back in power in four years.

Fight Fight Fight
Murphy: "If we continue to observe norms, if we continue to engage in business as usual, this democracy could be gone. I don't think we have a year to save American democracy. I think the way the president is acting ... puts out democracy at immediate risk."

Locus of Power aka The People.
Damn—I’ve only seen a negative flake rate a few times. My favorite was Kamala’s announcement in 2019. Crowd was massive.

Nice work Bernie team.

Yes! The key divide is between those who prefer politics-as-usual, bipartisan "unity," and accommodation vs those who understand "normal" politics is not an adequate option when confronted with a comprehensive assault on democratic self-government and the constitutional order.
My very strong suspicion is that the left/right axis and the fight/don't-fight axis are in the process of unlinking, and that the fight/don't-fight split is emerging as the core struggle in the Democratic Party.
We seriously need to separate the left/right axis from the fight/don’t fight axis.

Really realizing that his sixth strategy for trying to attain world-historical hero status is by punishing perceived domestic enemies. His power flows crush his enemies, delivering satisfying retribution for his supporters.
Taken together, Trump's five power flows: expansion, destruction, rule by Executive Order, unification as forced capitulation, and erasing inconvenient truths are an authoritarian consolidation of power in the person of Donald Trump. He has become, or is becoming, the Leviathan.

So it goes without saying, but let's say it anyway: the concentration of attacks on trans people isn't because trans people are the only people fascists hate (although they absolutely do hate them). It's because they're the people they think non-fascists are least likely to defend.

The Guardian is reporting that Trump is openly violating a court order, and has transferred multiple transgender women to men's facilities.

We know in Florida, transgender women are having their hair shorn, feminine items confiscated, and pulled off medication.

This is inhumane and illegal.

Being a historian, people ask me if I think the US is living through Germany 1933.

I answer no, analogies are always imperfect but to me it feels more like Russia 1999: a blatant theft of state assets and liberals in a fugue state, refusing to believe the arc of progress is bending against them.
