I think this is a suitable first blue sky post. Jasper, Alberta. Iphone photo, no filters or touches. Yes it really is that beautiful there.
I don’t understand why employers would choose to backtrack on gains in employee satisfaction and productivity after having experienced them. Unless of course the opportunity to pivot to the world of remote work was not managed properly. (Rolls eyes and heads my company toward the future) #askbvmia

The next Covid Awareness billboard will be something to the effect of…

“Mask Up, Clean The Air, Protect the Kids, and Show We Care.”
#SafeSchoolsNow

If you like to help me continue my work and place some more billboards please share/donate. Every bit helps. YerAweSum!

I can't overstate the value of the contribution by volunteer variant trackers and science communicators in keeping us informed about SARS-CoV-2. They've always been essential, but at this point they're the only reliable source of up to date information.

James Earl Jones-ing the alphabet. A fav childhood memory for many.
“Small children from poor or middle-class families who watch ‘Sesame Street’ do better on cognitive tests and in first grade than children who do not watch it,” Renata Adler wrote, in 1972.

At this point I'm honestly just calling my reps and bluntly saying you're old between the two of us I'm the one more likely to survive an ecoli infection. Maybe do something about this.

Canada has often had global impact unrelated to just economic/military power.

Our values matter, and create ripples beyond our shores.

Merci Quebec!!

Watching CBC and wishing the commentary would be more flattering to Bloc and NDP voters who put 🇨🇦 ahead of party. I hope this will be well respected by the next government. We need all elbows united from coast to coast to coast.

If we are waiting for someone or something outside of ourselves to make us whole than we have become trapped in the illusion of time. It is better to live slowly, to learn to be present, to learn to love those we already have close to us, starting with ourselves, and flow outwardly from there.

Totally love this attitude!! Reminds me of when my daughter was so excited about “discovering” Aerosmith and I fist-pumped for two days. The memory of her telling me all about them still makes me smile.
if you know a lot of stuff i think it is your moral duty to be kind and excited when people learn stuff for the first time. the world is full of stuff we don't know about, don't be mean

One of the coolest conversations I’ve ever had was with a scientist who worked with the Hubble program. His job was to explain their work in layman’s terms to media and schoolchildren. He was such a happy person. What an amazing job!
i love that we got 4 new hubble images today and we still continue to get more after 35 years 🥹

hubble really is the little telescope that could!!!

THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center say results of a Phase I trial of an mRNA vaccine aimed at preventing pancreatic cancer show promise. The vaccine PREVENTED the cancer from coming back in patients who had already received treatment for MORE THAN three years. 🧪🧵⬇️

I read this entire thread and have decided … no more scrolling for the rest of the day. There’s enough doom out there. I prefer to think about hope and how the world is made better by those who act on it.

When it sucks to be right …
As I warned repeatedly last July, the foolhardy cancellation of the world class and inexpensive Ontario wastewater surveillance program was a mistake. I cautioned that we would be less prepared as new infectious disease risks rose during the winter. #measles #H5N1
