Missed this part. In 1985 coal merchant Bill Furlong uncovers disturbing secrets in a small Irish town that's controlled by the Roman Catholic Church.
I watched this Irish movie, Small Things Like These, about a coal merchant who discovers a girl locked in a coal shed at a convent-run. They took away her baby, common thing there taking away their babies. Could not understand all the words so likely missed half of it.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.
