I've been trying to get my cycling friends together for years to do a century ride, finally I said f*** it and head out on my own. 161k completed and in the books. I only stopped one time for 5 minutes to adjust my saddle , not bad for a dude in his mid-50s.

I have seen too many people posting horrible comments online along the lines of "low skilled jobs shouldn't expect high skill pay", and if you dropped one of them onto a Canada Post route in, say, Winnipeg in January, you just know they'd crumble in under an hour. These are hard work.
People underestimate the grind of walking 10k a day with bags hanging off of you for 20 or 30 years. I know a couple letter carriers my age who are broken down like ex pro athletes.
