Names matter. They expose a mindset. Salvation = Belief that a human isn't worth anything until they conform to your template. Army = Endorsement of strategic, well-organized and systematic mass violence as a means to an end.
One of the only posts of mine that ever took off was on this, The salvation army (even if it may help people in a community) at its core is inherently homophobic/transphobic & is actively supporting ice and other horrid groups

do not give money to them, support local food kitchens with direct funds
I know it's a tad early but I know those bitches with the buckets will be out soon. Don't gove them a penny. The volunteers may not know but the salvation army is no ally and actively combative and harmful to many queer minorities especially during the holiday season

Now this article made me wonder: What if there was a "dark mode" for screen readers? What would it sound like? Dark?

Do sound-first people have strong preferences about what they hear like sight-first people do? If they had a "mode switch", what would it be?

The more I deal with accessibility, the more I realise that „0KB JS“ is probably harmful.

The irony is that it was Svelte‘s linter warnings („a clickable element need‘s xyz“) that eventually nudged me into trying to practice better a11y 🙏

CSS-only Widgets Are Inaccessible
Usually. I originally titled this InacCSS-onlyible. I even made this typographically, er, distinct image. Then I realized it was silly and will instead use the neologism in a talk so I can hear the gr...

Honest question about #AI #VibeCoding: Every time I tried to do it, it turned out to be utter bullshit that I had to do over. I even have to fight the autocompletion just to type a couple of things. It's becoming a hurdle to my productivity.

Am I missing something? What Am I doing wrong?

The orange turd is on such a relentless bullshit diarrhea that all other world politicians have to constantly keep refuting his drivel.

I hope at least some will forget how to lie in this shit storm, so that we will have a few newly honest ones standing in the end.

I did not. My politics evolved from the moral compass I was given by my parents. One that points to genuine curiosity to understand things and people rather than align to the magnetic field of some authority.

Today’s convos about internalized misogyny have made me curious: how did people arrive at leftist politics?

I know I can’t be alone in taking a fairly windy road to get here today.

I ask both because I’m curious if others had unlearn, and for all the new folks looking at the left this week 🤔
