If I could give one piece of advice to programmers it would be: actually *read* the error message, don't just assume it will be unhelpful and skip over it.

I'm often just as guilty of that myself…

Never noticed until today that the Reddit logo has two little hidden speech bubbles. Nice detail!

The irony is that I'm banned from that subreddit… for posting about the surveys :/

It took a while (mainly due to the huge quantity of data collected on some questions!), but the #StateOfHTML 2025 survey results are now live!

Big thanks to @lea.verou.me who not only designed the original survey back in 2023, but then came back this year to update it.

I wonder how famous you need to be before you to get to sign those autograph posters in Japanese restaurants… and how can I get there?

As I watch how easily kids can fall into the YouTube Shorts/TikTok/Instagram/etc. rabbit hole, it's making me really value single-use devices like calculators, digital cameras, or even typewriters more.

Maybe convenience *shouldn't* always be the highest priority…

Wow. Imagine a future where you can **invest** into the outcome of any event!

Soon you will even be able to **invest** in things like card games, horse races, or slot machines!

I’m always hesitant to expose kids to too much Gen AI stuff but letting them enter their own lyrics and instantly generate a song with Suno feels really magical…

I was looking as an upcoming design conference website and it felt so tone-deaf.

10 years ago designers were supposed to be an elite group uniquely capable of solving the world’s problems.

But today, so much of that industry seems completely oblivious to the ongoing social changes we’re facing…

I wonder how common this kind of experience is among women in tech. It seems like such an own goal that someone who is clearly passionate and competent would be driven to leave the industry..
