One of the big things I hear about transmascs transitioning, which I especially saw with Elliot Page, was how we become ugly and undesirable and our "beautiful womanhood" is lost and corrupted.
This isn't just from cis men, but transphobic lesbians as well (part of the "lost lesbian" narrative)

I think I'd be more upset about Dems caving if I didn't see it coming from a mile away. Like trust me I'm still furious but I'm not actually surprised. I've been kind of trained at this point to become resilient to those in power actively trying to kill me.
