My oldest aunt died a few days ago, and I found out last night from a screenshot of a Facebook post that my father made. My daughter sent me the screenshot since I don’t speak to my family anymore. This is how my family works in the MAGA era.

So, I assume that by the time they get to OIF and OEF veterans with "chronic fatigue syndrome" and "fibromyalgia" (the official VA diagnoses for unexplained medical illnesses presumptively due to exposure while in service) most of us will be dead.

My daughter just started college and we can't even call the GI Bill Hotline due to the shutdown to find out why she didn't get her student verification email for September. Luckily, she's got enough in scholarships and grants that she doesn't rely on the GI Bill 💯, but it would be nice to have.
