I've literally given up on the idea that my mother will ever use my chosen name. It's quite a strain on our relationship despite her insistence she accepts me, and in the event of my death anyone listening to her over my wife would be spitting on my grave.

Are you genuinely too thick to be aware of how many trans people's families misgender and dishonor us in death, or are you just vile and craven enough to pretend you don't know even when talking to queer people?
