It's race to the bottom. Every time I read the news I'm furious about yet another announcement flushing climate policy down the toilet in Canada.
This one the same day that our Prime Minister commits to ANOTHER pipeline across BC (while tossing out the few things we had left to reduce GHGs)

Maybe there's support from some First Nations behind the scenes but so far, the only public statements from the B.C. government and First Nations is "absolutely not."

I wonder if the Carney Liberals will be what saves the federal NDP in the end. For all those that support the Liberals in the last election, it's pretty clear they didn't vote for a progressive party that prioritizes the environment or climate.

For those of you who thought the lack of urgency around climate issues couldn't get any worse - Carney's gov seems to be committing to scrapping the industrial cap, while relying on technologies like cap & storage which no climate expert will say is an effective strategy
