This is a terrifying setup. A.I. companies stand to profit more when people are denied the care they need. We're turning life-and-death #Medicare decisions into profit-driven algorithms, and patients will pay the price. #AIDeathPanel www.nytimes.com/2025/08/28/h...

Republicans want to slash Medicare and Medicaid by $880 billion — all to fund tax cuts for their sugar daddy Elon Musk.

But don’t worry, while you won't have healthcare, your Republican congressman will... and his Viagra

However evil you think this is, it’s worse:

“The A.I. companies selected to oversee the program would have a strong financial incentive to deny claims. Medicare plans to pay them a share of the savings generated from rejections.”

The choice we need in healthcare isn’t between insurance companies. It’s between doctors and hospitals.

Medicare for All opens that choice for everyone.

seems kinda bad that the House GOP is ordering half a trillion in cuts to Medicare now? Not Medicaid but Medicare. Is that bad?

As day follows night, Trump's budget bill brings certain economic disaster to Medicare by operation of PayGo statute.
When Rep. Boyle (D-PA) broke the news on @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com, Lawrence immediately said the cuts to Medicare would happen because of the interactions between it and Medicaid and the ACA. Boyle agreed. You can read about paygo and sequestration here:

Medicare works just fine but co-president MUSK wants to #TakeItAndBreakIt by privatizing it so the oligarchy can skim some points off of trillions of dollars worth of medicare claims administered. Rep Larson tore genius MUSK a new orifice for #SkippingLikeADipShit from committee accountability.
