Ok ok ok I just made one of the coolest things I’ve ever done, very different from my usual stuff, and it was mostly an accident.

This is pretty cool! Interestingly, it placed me in a diffuse area on the outskirts of the fantasy & sci-fi writers, instead of in or near a cluster of artists.

Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

FB just reminded me of a friend’s (acquaintance’s) birthday, and THAT reminded me that they ghosted me halfway through a commission, stiffing me out of the second half of payment.

the conspiratorial part of me wants to say that there's no way Adobe is so stupid as to spontaneously shut down an industry-wide used program so it must be deliberate sabotage on art to artificially force usage of gAI
