Among the many reasons I get mad when people describe climate activists as 'unrealistic' or 'emotional' is that you won't any worse disconnection from reality than the very serious and grown-up data centre industry in the United States.....

one of the things that drive me the craziest is you can't get a lot of these outlets (Politico, Axios, CNN, NYT) to report candidly on the way Trump 2.0 has irreparably harmed corporate oversight and consumer protection, but they'll parrot MAGA mythologies on antitrust until they're blue in the face

This is hilarious and also prescient on how Elon's posts will degrade over the next 5 few years

Trump nominates hospitality executive to lead National Park Service | Trump administration
Donald Trump has nominated the hospitality executive Scott Socha – whose company once sued to claim trademark rights to the name “Yosemite National Park” – to lead the National Park Service. The nomination of an outsider with business ties to the agency he’d oversee comes at a pivotal moment for the service, which lost a quarter of its staff under Doge’s civil sector purge and which has been the subject of the Trump administration’s aggressive efforts to…

Reposted heavily but going to again cause this is just such a typically stupid situation borne of a pathetically incompetent administration.
The only thing worse than the incompetence is the malevolence.
So DOD risked civilian airspace to obliterate some fucking balloons; when FAA found out and asked them to stop they refused; FAA did what it had to keep people safe; when the public rightly freaked out, DOD relented, lied, and blamed the FAA.

Sounds like Hegseth!

The sad irony is, many of these same newsrooms have sold themselves on a version of this critique. Many journalists also believe that the problem of right-wing distrust can only be remedied with more pandering, at the expense of the existing audience. Not so! www.offmessage.net/p/a-requiem-...

Honestly, Thomas Massie might have been the most effective questioner of Bondi today. This presentation was so damning, it makes clear that Pam Bondi's DOJ is either the most incompetent in history, or they are the most corrupt in history actively participating in a cover up of the Epstein files.
Massie: "Here is an email that was sent by the victims' lawyers to the DOJ. It was a list of names not to release. What did the DOJ do with this email? They released it! Literally the worst thing you could do the survivors you did."
