@clutchpoints.bsky.social You should tell your beat writer that "Golden Knights" is only a professional hockey team. UCF removed golden from their name almost two decades ago! Your writer was only 8 years old last time that name was used.

What a great point!
Trump also shit all over Project 2025, and the creators of it kept their mouths shut and played the long game.

If our candidate attacks anything of the left that is unpopular they will be pilloried for months on end.

I reject the premise. The American state does not need "an overhaul" and no, there is no "mandate for disruption."
The American state needs an overhaul, and Donald Trump has a mandate for disruption. But Musk-led reform risks creating a new problem for the country: the emergence of a combustible, corrupt oligarchy econ.st/3Z7r6sO

I just applied for the Community Marketing Manager role, I wonder if public support from the portion of the userbase that knows me would hurt or help this cause lol 🤔
5. Bluesky's team consists of about 20 full-time employees. That's a million users here per employee now 🤯

Also, we're hiring!

it's going to take a little while for everyone to adapt to this, but a business/media org/team posting under a .bsky.social handle instead of their real domain should be approached with caution

It’s interesting because there seems to be a pattern with many of us that migrated here from Twitter since Bluesky launched. Everyone new comes in hot. On a hair trigger. Ready to fight. And then there’s a cooling off period where it’s like, wait maybe we don’t have to do that anymore?
One of the nice things about this platform is that many folks have approached it as a reset. A do-over. Many are trying to turn the temperature down. Sure we could fight with people who are rude or mean or wrong. But even better let’s just brush them off and get on with our lives.

ICYMI: How could they vote for him? mainlymacro.blogspot.com/2024/11/how-...
Most politicians, alongside oligarchs, know that ownership of the media brings the power to manipulate information and create propaganda, yet most politicians on the centre left seem incapable of confronting that power.
How could they vote for him?
By now you will have probably read thousands of words about Trump’s sweeping election victory, so what can I hope to add? The biggest puz...

Come on, @kairyssdal.bsky.social and @amyscott.bsky.social, given the role media play in people's misperceptions of the economy, Marketplace needs to do better. In yesterday's report on personal debt, it rightly compares debt to income to say the increase in debt isn't really bad. 1/2

Then it hit me: The big success of the US right over the last decade or so, helped by a cadre of centrists, is convincing a lot of people that the Democratic Party is whoever you think is the most radical, most annoying person on the internet. Therefore, voting Republican is a vote against them.
