2025 became the year i started drawing in a #sketchbook again
it wasn’t a “goal” at all, and began in crayon to amuse my kids, so i didn’t take it seriously which is prob *why* it happened
lots of studies (sorry for limited/imperfect crediting), cats, frogs, birds sculptures.

i was thinking - what about Le Guin’s The Dispossessed, except instead of the anarchists, it’s the fascists that have to go try to create their utopia on the moon. but then i realized that would just be the concept of the prison planet/colony society in Alien 3, so it’s already been done lol

I wrote some of The Atlantic's most successful stories about remote work and then they abruptly stopped commissioning me, at which point Derek Thompson took over and started writing anti-remote stories
I know it's a right-wing, anti-DEI talking point, but do regular people think this? That DEI offices were auditing faculty syllabi and ordering them what to teach? Maybe I'm naive, but that level of detailed attention and oversight sounds far-fetched to me from any higher ed admin unit.
