Two of my visual pieces, “Daydreamer” and “Untethered,” are featured in Heimat Review’s Issue 10.

Grateful to the editors at @heimatreview.bsky.social , and a nod to @flaremagazine.bsky.social for first publishing “Untethered.” 💫
We’ve been quiet for a bit, but now we’re back — with Issue 10 of Heimat: Palimpsest. Layers of memory, lineage, and becoming wait inside. Come look through with us. www.heimatreview.com/issue-10-pal...

NOBODY should be able have a career in congress. All elected positions should have term limits.
Breaking News: Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the only female House speaker, said she would retire in 2027, ending a run as one of the most powerful women in U.S. politics. nyti.ms/3XkTV49

Mamdani’s win isn’t just good for NYC. It’s good for Dems in general. It shows that voters can be energized again. Young people can be energized. Voter turnout SURGED. People were fired up and got to the polls. I feel very good about 2026 now.

Using a government domain to mock political opponents is unethical, misleading, and erodes public trust.

If you have a writer in your life and you'd like them to know that you care about their ambitions, may I suggest ordering a copy of my collaborative craft anthology, An Honour And A Privilege, as a Christmas present? (trust me, you'll get the MOST brownie points)

I long for an option to block organizations on Submittable. I’ve mostly stopped browsing opportunities there because you can’t... instead, I use @duotrope.com, @chillsubs.bsky.social, and social media to find calls (which, of course, often funnel me right back to Submittable to submit, tee hee!).
i wish i could block WILDsound Writing Festival (everyone wins) on submittable

Have I done this yet? No. But have I been kinda doing it in the moment? Also no.

Tomorrow.

My children call some of my close friends, who are not even biologically related to us, Aunt and Uncle. Do we need to fear if they run for office 30 years from now? What a scandal! 🤪
I used to love how my daughter's little friend Neha, down the street, would call me "Uncle Jeff" when the girls were little.

Haven't done a single day of Inktober this year, and I don't think I will. Though, in my striving for balance, I'm trying to figure out where to fit in more visual art creation.

Who out there can stretch spacetime just a lil for me?

My high school class motto was “Diversity is Unity.” I didn’t realize then how radical that would sound twenty years later.
