It was dark and I didn't see the skunk in the backyard.
One of the dogs definitely saw the skunk and decided it was prey. He paid the price of his hubris.

Kid next door is going to kayak across the St. Lawrence to Canada today (parents accompanying in their boat). I told him to map out the currents and potential good landing spots ... for no reason whatsoever. Nope, no reason at all to do that- just totally out of curiosity.

I wasn't a ringer or even a particularly good player but I scored 4 goals in a beer league hockey game once. I still have the score sheet.

mine is: down 2 with like 4 seconds left, deflection sends ball into corner
guy throws the ball in to midcourt and i intercept it, and pass to my teammate who gets fouled shooting a 3

I'm pretty sure growing up in the U.S. doesn't make him the only Pope who went to college and had friends growing up.
I just think it’s hilarious that people went to college with the Pope. “What’s Ken up to these days? Partner at a law firm outside Pittsburgh, that’s nice. And Bob? Oh, he’s the Pope.”

Today we visited a castle in Lisbon but one of our traveling companions wasn't feeling well and did not go. As we left she did NOT say "have fun storming the castle" so obviously we cannot be friends any more.

The Beths absolutely rule. One of the best bands out there. They have a really unique ability to make music that totally rocks and is also really pretty at the same time, which I think comes down to how lovely their lead singer's voice is www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ogC...

Folks, Porto Portugal is a magical city. Very beautiful and the food and wine are wonderful (and inexpensive). And did I mention port? Lots and lots of port.

It's our anniversary today, a mere two days after Easter. I've checked and all of the lists of year-by-year anniversary gifts say that "half-price chocolate bunny from the drug store" is the perfect gift for a 36th anniversary. Wish me luck.
