I moved to Minnesota in June 2023 during a day when the air smelled like a campfire. When I’ve asked longtime Minnesotans about the increasingly severe smoke during our summers, they all say it was never a problem until a few years ago. And wow, this graph has got the receipts.

Counting Race: How the Census Measures Identity and What Americans Think About It
How the U.S. government measures race has changed substantially since censuses began in 1790. Today, Americans differ on whether the government should ask about race.

What a travesty. Besides the point of detaining people (& at sensitive locations) but what would they do with the children in these circumstances? What about rising costs of child care for parents?

Many are already aware of the hypocrisy of this administration but what a lack of morality & concern.
‘I have papers’: Child care worker detained by ICE officers inside a Chicago day care
Raids inside day cares had been off limits until this year, when, on his first day in office, President Donald Trump removed that protection.

You know you did the Great Minnesota Get-Together (the State Fair for the non-Minnesotans) right when you’re still full 8 hours later and are drinking a ton of water because how pickled one is from all the salt, fats, and alcohol consumed.

State sanctioned gluttony at its finest.
