IPUMS USA has released a new geographic variable, METPOP20, which identifies the size of respondents' commuting system and provides a continuous index of urban/rural status. This release has updates to other metropolitan area, utility cost, property tax, and multigenerational household variables.

New IHGIS data provide a time series of six Ireland population censuses covering 1966-1991, plus population censuses for Chad 2009, Jordan 2015, and Zambia 2000. All 8 new datasets have data to at least the third administrative level. ihgis.ipums.org
