It’s the greatest foundational myth any nation has ever had, and these evil fuckers want to mock our legacy and disrespect the Mother of Exiles. Nope, I’m not okay with that anti-American bullshit.

Yeah. It's wild that he said that like it's some indictment of America. My response was "right fucking on, that's why for all its many flaws I still have some reason to love my country".

I'll never get over the fact that Kamala Harris got the motherfucking Cheneys to bend the knee to her in exchange for absolutely nothing, and people looked at this and thought "oh god she's a puppet of the Cheneys"

Once again, immigration is not even a problem. Immigrants are not more criminal, they don't cost jobs, they don't harm the economy. There is no reason for any of this. It is hurting ourselves to hurt them.

I was a sensitive kid. I loved cats. I had OCD, undiagnosed.

When I was 9, a fraternity brother tortured a cat to death in my hometown. The details even now are beyond imagination. archive.is/xdmUL

I was traumatized for years from reading the news story.

The torturer? Now the head of the NRA.

The absolute soul-crushing unseriousness and idiocy of someone in a tenured post as Wesleyan thinking, 'the world in general and my life in particular would be better if NATO didn't exist' is just astounding.

A straight up 'war is good, actually' take, by someone too myopic to realize it.

One of hundreds, maybe thousands, of ways Trump is crippling this country for generations to come, any one of which would be grounds for impeachment in any even remotely sane Congress.

Show this graph to a lot of US left-ish people, their jaw would hit the floor, and they'd ask in hushed tones what sort of paradise-on-earth this spending trend produced.
Don't know if this sort of rhetoric has caught up with the fact that Reform's base are the most dependent on welfare of any party's

There has *got* to be some lag on those Foreign Policy and Trade numbers, that R advantage shouldn't survive this week. Also, Dems need to get their heads out of their asses and come up with an Immigration Reform plan and a coherent Foreign/military policy framework.

"this is not who we are" is 90% of the time a normative statement of aspiration, it's not an empirical claim of "these events have never taken place in this country before". one of the most obnoxious genres of "actually..." is reacting like it's the latter when it's clearly the former.
